2) My Writing Precess
How Can You Create Fiction When Reality Comes to Call? Is an article written by Carolyn Chute where she describes a detailed routine of a day of her life, she talks about all the distractions surrounding her while she has the urge to write, from the doorbell ringing to her dogs waiting for her at the foot of the stairs to go out and do their thing, household chores and people coming in and the only thing she wants to do is go on and write, she can even hear her typewriter screaming for her to go and make some progress on the novel she’s working on. All of those distractions can be sometimes nearly impossible to avoid, but there are some ways that can help you to get things done. Drake Baer’s article “6 Ways to Be a Hemingway-Level Productive Badass” breaks down some of the techniques Ernest Hemingway used to be a “Productive Badass” writer, for example, using a standing desk or quantifying his progress with a chart showing his daily output of the words he wrote each day. He tracked his progress “so as not to kid” himself. When it comes to writing for me, there’s many distractions and fears that I need to overcome. First of all, my cell phone and social media. I waste to much time there, I always say to myself: “five more minutes” and those five more minutes come to fast and then I allow myself another five minutes by the time I realize one hour has past and in my case time is precious because I have a full-time job and I need to administrate my time in order for me to accomplish everything without being all stressed out. And there’s one fear that I have to face, English is my second language and sometimes I found it a little difficult to express myself and send the right message. I’m an independent person and most of the time I distract myself thinking on all of those adult things, like paying my bills, rent, insurance, cellphone and all that stuff and also thinking about my family and making sure they're doing ok. I try really hard every day to improve myself on every aspect, and writing is one of them, I would love to be fluent in English like in Spanish and to write without any difficulty. My 6 steps to become a better writer and avoid distractions:
